Superb, i'm very picky and found it impossible to find fault! Friendly owners, beautiful rooms and communal areas, all generously proprtioned. Would definitely stay again and highly recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights and can not recall such a pleasant experience. We were made to feel most welcome by the family/owners, for whom nothing was too much trouble - they certainly want to please. The quality of the rooms and the large homely central lounge made for a most relaxed stay which was only surpassed by the excellent cooked Welsh Breakfast and the even better evening meal. Recommend the later option is taken in preference to seeking out local restaurants. We will most certainly be back!!!

We recently stayed for four nights and enjoyed Welsh hospitality of the highest order. Our en-suite room was very nice and well equipped. The Welsh tea cakes were very welcome and very tasty. It is clear that the conversion from Chapel to Guest House was created by very home loving people, and Lesley and Chloe were very attentive and caring, and extremely good cooks! The location is also very good with quick access to major roads. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this as a base should you want to tour the Brecons and surrounding areas.

Can't praise the hosting or the property highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very comfortable.

Lovely Guest house. Comfortable room; welsh cakes much appreciated.
Food was excellent and evening meal also excellent value for money and a beautiful meal. All members of family very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

My husband, baby daughter and I stayed for 2 nights at Soar Chapel and had the most wonderful stay. Chloe and Lesley made us feel welcome and at home on our arrival and looked after us like we were family. Lesley held our baby to free me up to eat dinner...much appreciated! Our room was perfect - clean, beautifully decorated, large and comfortable bed and large TV. It was quiet and had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfasts were ideal. I couldn't bring myself to share my blueberry pancakes with my husband because they were too good. Problem solved when Lesley cooked one up for him just to taste-test. I highly recommend the meals here also. We ate in on one night and were impressed with everything. 10 out of 10 from me!

into Soar as it was my last day in Wales before returning to England due to my wife's ill health. I was born in Beaufort in 1940 & my grandmother worshipped in Soar. If only she could see it now! I'm sure she would approve of her former chapel being used in such spectacular fashion rather than like many chapels left ruined and abandoned.
What a lovely project and having seen the rest of the guest house online I shall definitely return to stay knowing I could well be sitting in my grandmother's pew place.

My husband and I visited Soar Chapel for a pre-Christmas meal and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh, flavoursome and beautifully presented, the welcome was warm and genuine and the whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We enjoyed being shown around the chapel and would have no hesitation recommending it to friends or family.
We live locally and definitely plan to try the sunday lunch and afternoon tea when they begin. It is nice to have somewhere of this quality on our doorstep!

The welcome we received at Soar Chapel was only a small reflection of the warmth this accommodation had to offer. Lesley and her husband were helpful and made us feel very at home. The accoommodation was worth its 4stars (and more) as it was modern, fresh, clean and there was plenty of space for guests to relax after either a long walk or as we did - from listenting to Jazz all day. The welcome of warm welsh cakes was a also a lovely touch . Breakfast area was clean, airy - welcoming and again of a very high standard. Plenty of choices for breakafast that would accommodate all tastes and all made within minutes of being ordered. I would recommend for families, couples - friends - or even if you went on your own - Lesle would take you under her wing. On my next visit i will ensure I book a massage or a treament. tTe beauty rooms were the standard of any rooms I have seen - and I have been to Champneys!! Well done Soar Chapel - See you soon.
